The event marked an important stage in the development of organized youth and university sport in socialist Mongolia and coincided with the opening period of major new sporting facilities, including the Central Sports Palace and Central Stadium.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe badge presents a finely modelled portrait of revolutionary leader Damdin Sukhbaatar in military dress against a pale sky-blue field. The surrounding gilt border is decorated with raised traditional ornament and crowned by a small red socialist star, while the curved red ribbon below carries “Sukhbaatar”, with the date 1959 incorporated into the lower edge. Its broad, single-piece gilt construction and simple horizontal safety-pin fastening are characteristic of early domestically produced Mongolian festival insignia.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition is very good and entirely honest for an original badge more than six decades old.
