The Academy occupies a particularly closed position within the SVR system: its students are already Service personnel, and its training is organized in close connection with the operational requirements of the intelligence service. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe badge is an impressive multi-piece composition built around the institutional continuity of Soviet and Russian foreign-intelligence training. A deep blue enameled globe forms the background, enclosed by a heavy gilt wreath and flanked by the Soviet flag on the left and Russian tricolor on the right, deliberately linking the department’s earlier Soviet service history with the modern SVR. At the summit is an open book carrying the red “AVR” initials, while the center is dominated by a silver radiating star and gilt circular device marked “OT \/ K4.” The large red-and-gilt “80” at the base completes the anniversary composition.
