What survives for collectors are pieces like this one, the jubilee badge issued for the Center's 30th anniversary, awarded on 25 October 2007 and accompanied by its original numbered-format award booklet, named to the recipient in manuscript and signed by the Center's chief, Major General A.V. Krailin. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"auto\"\u003eThe badge itself is a fine multipiece construction on the Chekist shield-and-sword: a silvered shield with riveted border behind a sunburst star, the gilt sword rising behind, and at center a white-enameled ring lettered \"Special Training Center\" in gilt around a deep blue enamel globe, the graduates' theater of work, beneath the Russian tricolor in enamel, all flanked by a gilt oak-and-laurel wreath with a red-enameled \"30\" on the shield at lower left. The reverse is engraved \"25.10 1977–2007,\" fixing the Center's founding date to 25 October 1977, and carries the screwpost with the marked plate. Condition is excellent complete original fittings. The document shows honest shelf wear to its burgundy cover, with the interior clean and fully legible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"auto\"\u003eNamed and documented material from the SVR's training establishment is about as rare as modern intelligence collecting gets, the service is small, the Center's alumni community smaller still, and groupings that keep badge and paper together across two decades are the exception even within that. For the collector building a documented history of Russian intelligence institutions, academy, training center, operational directorates, this fills one of the hardest slots with paper to prove it.
