Description
Original Item – Only One Available. This is an authentic Mongolian “We Won” Victory Over Japan Medal, established in 1945 to commemorate the joint victory of the Mongolian People’s Army (MPA) and Soviet Red Army over Imperial Japan in Manchuria.
The obverse depicts the Mongolian Soyombo symbol beneath a red star, with the inscription “We Won” and the year 1945. The medal retains its original five-sided suspension with the enamel tricolor of Mongolia and the award is accompanied by its original enamel ribbon, making this a complete set.
This decoration was awarded to Mongolian & Soviet soldiers, officers, and civilians who contributed to the victory, recognizing both direct combat service and wartime support. It stands as one of the earliest post-war Mongolian awards, closely linked with Soviet decorations of the same period, symbolizing the shared triumph of socialist allies. Surviving examples with intact enamel and ribbon remain scarce, especially as complete sets, and are highly prized by collectors of WWII and Cold War era Mongolian militaria.
