The design depicts a mounted herder against a mountainous landscape, symbolizing socialist labor achievement and rural excellence during the formative years of the Mongolian People’s Republic.

This example is the darker blue sky variation, a noticeably less common enamel tone compared to the lighter sky versions more frequently encountered. The rich deep blue background gives the badge stronger visual contrast and depth, enhancing both the mountain detail and the gilded central figure. Early production badges from the 1950s are recognized by their heavier construction, sharp relief detail, and quality enamel work.

The reverse retains the screwback plate marked, enamel remains well preserved with expected minor surface wear consistent with age.
