Original Item – Only One Available. A rare original 1962 Mongolian People’s Republic badge issued for the 8th Congress of the Mongolian Trade Unions. During the socialist period, the trade-union movement was one of Mongolia’s principal nationwide mass organizations, representing workers and employees across industry, transport, construction, agriculture and state institutions. Its national congresses were major organizational events at which delegates from across the country gathered to determine the union movement’s direction, review its work and establish priorities for the following period. 

The badge is formed as a stylized red flag, with a small five-pointed star at the hoist and the congress designation arranged prominently across the field. It is manufactured in gilt-colored metal with traditional hot enamel, producing the rich translucent red finish characteristic of higher-quality Mongolian badges of the period. The textured enamel ground, raised gilt lettering and original period pin fastening give the piece the distinctive appearance of an early 1960s official organizational issue.

Produced specifically for the 1962 8th Congress, this is a significantly scarcer type than ordinary MPR labor or workplace badges. Congress insignia were associated with a particular national event and were intended for a comparatively restricted circle connected with the proceedings, making surviving examples especially desirable today.
