Description
Original Item – Only One Available. A rarely encountered 1990s Russian mechanical wristwatch dedicated to Military Intelligence of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the central body responsible for Russian military intelligence. The watch was produced on a Slava mechanical platform, a historic marque of Moscow’s Second Watch Factory, whose institutional history dates to 1924. Its post-Soviet symbolism and Russian Armed Forces designation place it within the distinctive field of military-themed presentation and commemorative watches created during the turbulent transitional decade following the dissolution of the USSR.
The silver-toned dial carries the inscriptions “Armed Forces of the Russian Federation” and “Military Intelligence,” arranged around a gold-colored bat silhouette over a globe. The textured bezel is decorated with raised stars and the inscription “To a Defender of the Fatherland.” The watch includes central hour, minute and seconds hands, a date aperture at three o’clock, a manually wound mechanical movement and the case-back number 174. It is offered as the watch only; no strap is included.
The watch winds and runs at the time of inspection. Condition is good and honest for an original example from the 1990s, with visible surface wear, scratches, finish loss and age-related marks to the case, bezel, crystal and dial, all clearly represented in the photographs. Long-term timekeeping accuracy has not been tested and is not guaranteed. Its unusual military-intelligence dial, numbered case and working mechanical movement make this a difficult special-edition Slava variant for collectors of GRU memorabilia, post-Soviet military watches or Russian intelligence-related artifacts.
