Description

Original Item – Only One Available. This parade uniform dates from the early 2000s and was issued to an officer of the 084th Special Task Battalion, one of Mongolia’s elite parachute and special operations formations. Produced during a transitional period of the Mongolian Armed Forces, the uniform reflects a short-lived regulation style that combined traditional parade elements with updated insignia and award practices. The officer held the rank of Lieutenant, correctly indicated by the original shoulder boards and corresponding devices.

The tunic is tailored in dark green parade wool with red piping and gold accents, featuring gilt buttons, a gold parade belt, and a regulation aiguillette worn over the right shoulder. The shoulder boards are finished in gold with the appropriate rank devices, while the collar insignia is correctly applied in accordance with service regulations. Unit identification is displayed by the original 084th Special Task Battalion sleeve patch.

The uniform is awarded and complete with its original medal group, including service and commemorative decorations reflecting both length of service and official recognition. All awards are properly mounted and worn in correct order, showing light, honest wear consistent with ceremonial use. The presence of original badges and decorations adds strong authenticity and enhances the historical integrity of the set.

The uniform is size 48-2 (EU sizing), corresponding approximately to a US Medium. The set includes the visor cap, parade tunic, shirt, tie, belt, aiguillette, and mounted awards. The trousers are not included. Overall condition is excellent, with clean fabric, vivid colors, and minimal signs of age or storage wear. This parade uniform pattern was discontinued in the early 2010s, making complete surviving officer sets from elite units increasingly uncommon.

A scarce and well-preserved example of a modern Mongolian special forces parade uniform, offering strong unit attribution, correct configuration, and clear service history, an ideal acquisition for advanced collectors of post-Cold War military uniforms or institutional military displays.
