2000s Mongolian Police SWAT “Special Weapons Attack Team” Embroidered Patch – Rare Original Issue

Description

Original Item – Only One Available. A very rare Mongolian Police Special Weapons Attack Team (SWAT) embroidered patch dating to the 2000s, associated with Mongolia's specialized tactical law enforcement personnel. The insignia features a black silhouette of an armed tactical operator in a kneeling firing position, surrounded by the English inscription “Special Weapons Attack Team Mongolia.” Its distinctive circular design, blue and red borders, and detailed embroidery identify it with the development of specialized police tactical formations in post-socialist Mongolia.

Mongolia's specialized police tactical units were established to undertake high-risk law enforcement operations beyond the capabilities of conventional police personnel, including armed criminal apprehension, counterterrorism operations, hostage rescue, and responses to serious threats to public security. These formations developed their own operational identity, training standards, and specialized equipment. The patch reflects this tactical policing tradition, and armed operator imagery distinguishing it from standard Mongolian police insignia.

This rare embroidered variation features detailed multicolored stitching, a reinforced circular border, and a fabric-backed reverse showing its original embroidery construction. Unlike conventional police insignia, specialized tactical patches of this nature are seldom encountered on the international collectors' market, particularly examples attributed to the early development of Mongolia's modern SWAT formations. A very rare original issue of particular interest to collectors of Mongolian police history, special operations, and international tactical insignia.
