An uncommon commemorative badge issued in 2014 for the 90th anniversary of Chuluut Sum in Arkhangai Province, marking the local administrative community’s history from 1924. Chuluut lies in the mountainous Khangai region of central Mongolia; the modern sum traces its formation to the territorial reorganization of the early 1920s, with local historical accounts dating the beginning of Chuluut Sum to 1924. Sum anniversary issues were typically made in comparatively small quantities, often only a few hundred pieces for officials, invited guests, local representatives and participants, making individual examples much scarcer than standard mass-produced Mongolian commemorative badges.

The badge is executed as a large suspended circular medallion beneath a rectangular Mongolian tricolor suspension bearing the gilt numeral “90.” The central design is richly finished in multicolored enamel and depicts Chuluut’s mountainous landscape above the inscription Arkhangai Province, Chuluut Sum.
