This 2021 Mongolian GEACD Prison Service 100th Anniversary Badge was awarded to commemorate a century since the founding of Mongolia’s prison service, one of the country’s oldest state military institutions. Established in July 1921 as the “Penitentiary Detachment” under the Ministry of Justice, the service developed through the socialist era under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, administering correctional labor camps and prisons modeled after the Soviet system.

The badge features a bold design with red, green, and blue enamels, centered by the national emblem of Mongolia with eagle and sword motif, and the anniversary dates 1921–2021.
