Original Item – Only One Available. This official Mongolian portrait badge features Marshal Yumjaagiin Tsedenbal, long-serving head of state and General Secretary of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party. The design shows his recognizable portrait against a red background, framed by golden wheat branches symbolizing socialist achievement and state authority.
This example represents original party-issued commemorative material rather than later reproduction. The halftone portrait printing technique and color application are fully consistent with socialist era state production. The reverse retains its original horizontal safety-pin fastening.
Condition is notably strong compared to most surviving examples. While there is a small loss of color in some of area, the majority of the color remains intact. Almost all of known surviving Tsedenbal badges have suffered significant color deterioration over time, making well-preserved pieces increasingly difficult to find. This example presents far above average for the type and remains highly displayable. A desirable piece for collectors of Mongolian Communist-era political memorabilia and Cold War period insignia.
