Original Item – Only One Available. A rare original First Conference badge of the Mongolian People’s Republic People’s Control Organization, inscribed “People’s Control Organization – First Conference.” The badge belongs to Mongolia’s socialist-era system of administrative and economic oversight. In 1972, the MPR reorganized this field into a unified nationwide People’s Control system headed by the MPR Committee of People’s Control. Importantly, People’s Control Organization did not mean only that central committee: official historical records define it as the broader organization incorporating the central committee, provincial, city and district committees, committees at major enterprises, and People’s Control groups and posts operating in institutions, economic organizations and even military units. The central Committee of People’s Control stood at the top and was specifically charged with directing this entire network.

The badge is an imposing suspended shield-form decoration, with an upper bar enameled in the red-blue-red national colors of the Mongolian People’s Republic. The pendant is bordered in white enamel around a deep blue central shield carrying the raised abbreviation “АХШБ”, followed by “First Conference” and a gilt laurel branch beneath. Its substantial construction, formal national-color suspension and institutional inscription strongly identify it as a conference/delegate badge connected with the People’s Control apparatus. The reverse is plain and retains its original period pin fastening, suspension ring and gilt-toned finish, with light age-related handling consistent with an issued example.

For the specialist collector, the importance of this piece lies in the words “First Conference.” It represents an internal event of an organization that occupied a significant position within the MPR’s state-control structure, supervising implementation of government directives, state plans, socialist-property management and the activities of ministries, enterprises and other institutions. The whole People’s Control system was ultimately abolished during Mongolia’s democratic transition, with all levels ordered dissolved effective 1 January 1991, giving surviving organizational material a clearly closed historical period. As an explicitly identified First Conference issue, however, it is a particularly specialized original for an advanced collection of MPR government badges, People’s Control insignia, socialist administrative history, or Cold War-era Mongolian institutional awards.
