Description

Original Item – Only One Set Available. This scarce and historically significant two-medal set captures the essence of PMC Wagner's operational footprint in Syria, awarded to an individual fighter identified by the unique number M-1745 for sustained combat service against ISIS and involvement in key engagements in Deir ez-Zor province. The Victory Over ISIS medal set in its less commonly encountered variation, distinguished by subtle obverse detailing and a clearly different reverse engraving style from the other variants. Executed in silvered metal with deep black enamel cross, laurel wreath and bilingual inscriptions “Victory Over ISIS” and “Syria” the medal is complete with its full ceremonial red and yellow ribbon featuring the crossed-swords clasp, the matching miniature pin award, ribbon bar, and velvet presentation case. The reverse is crisply engraved “Syria 2015–2017” alongside the fighter’s personal number M-1745. Such complete presentation sets are increasingly uncommon in fully preserved condition.

Paired with it is the Battle of Khasham medal, presented under the auspices of the elite “ISIS Hunters” unit, a formation built on tight Russian-Syrian cooperation and frequently augmented by Wagner personnel for targeted operations against lingering Daesh pockets. Suspended from the green and white ribbon, this starburst medal shows a fighter fighting against US Apache helicopter, framed by radiating rays and on the obverse side, inscription: “Not defeated. Not broken”. On the reverse side the inscription reads: “To the feat of the Russian and Syrian brothers.”

It is directly associated with the February 7, 2018, Battle of Khasham (Conoco Fields incident) near Al Tabiyeh in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, where a pro-government force, including Wagner-affiliated elements, advanced toward a U.S. supported SDF position at the Conoco gas plant. The clash, lasting several hours, involved artillery and heavy U.S. airstrikes that halted the assault. The engagement remains one of the few instances of direct kinetic contact between Russian-aligned and American forces in Syria, occurring despite deconfliction protocols and underscoring the tense control of strategic energy infrastructure.

Housed in its original velvet case, the medal is accompanied by the exceptionally rare award document, bearing fighter number M-1745, the deputy commander’s signature, and the authentic ISIS Hunters stamp. This award set described in collector circles as "one of the rarest Wagner awards ever."

Both medals and items remain in superb, near-mint condition, pristine enamel and sharp detailing. Individual Wagner awards matched to numbered Syrian documentation and complete with full presentation elements surface so infrequently that they represent far more than typical militaria, they offer a direct, provenance-rich link to the private military role in one of the defining proxy conflicts of the modern era. For the serious collector of contemporary irregular warfare material, Wagner Group artifacts, or Syrian campaign relics, especially those tied to the 2018 Khasham event, this set constitutes a singular and irreplaceable acquisition.
