This very rare Russian military medal was issued to commemorate the 60th anniversary of GRU Unit 26165, the signals and cyber intelligence division widely known as “Fancy Bear” (APT28). The obverse displays crossed keys and laurel wreath, symbols of cyber warfare and secrecy with the unit number “26165” prominently engraved. The reverse features the Ministry of Defense emblem and the inscription “60 Years 1958–2018 / There is always a solution”. Decorations tied directly to GRU Unit 26165 are virtually unobtainable, making this one of the rarest and most historically significant modern Russian intelligence awards.
