Original Item – Only One Available. A very rare honorary departmental badge of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Internal Affairs Bodies at Restricted Facilities. These specialized police structures operated within the Ministry’s Department for Maintaining Public Order in Closed Territories and Restricted Facilities, covering closed administrative areas and sensitive state installations. A documented presentation in March 2007 confirms that the “Honored Employee of OVDRO” badge was conferred by formal departmental order. The department was abolished in 2010, placing this distinctive award within a narrow final period of the organization’s existence.

The badge is an imposing multipiece construction in gilt and silvered metal, built around a sword-and-shield composition framed by a substantial laurel wreath. At the top appears the heraldic eagle of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, while the central applied device combines an atomic symbol with a missile, military aircraft, and submarine, imagery that clearly evokes the strategically important and technically sensitive facilities protected by the service. A deep-blue enameled ribbon carries the title “Honored Employee of OVDRO.” The use of the atomic symbol and fortified shield closely reflects the official heraldic language of the former restricted-facilities department.

Condition is excellent overall, with clean white and blue enamel, strong contrasting gilt and silvered finishes, crisp raised detail, and only light handling marks visible under close photography.
