Description
Original Item – Only One Available. This is the Russian SVR Foreign Intelligence Service 100th Anniversary Medal, issued to commemorate the centennial lineage of Russia’s external intelligence, from the INO of the Cheka (1920) through the PGU of the KGB, to today’s SVR. Produced by the Moscow Mint, this medal is an official institutional award, featuring the golden SVR emblem over a red ribbon scroll marked “100 years”. The ribbon bar reflects the traditional Russian flag tricolor, and the reverse bears the motto “Fatherland, Valor, Honor”, framed by a laurel wreath. This example comes with its original named document and is presented in the velvet-lined state issued case, further confirming its authenticity.
Centennial medals were awarded in limited quantities to active and retired intelligence personnel who contributed to the continuity of Russian foreign intelligence over multiple generations. Complete sets like this, medal, document, and presentation case are considerably harder to find, especially in clean condition and from the Moscow Mint. A highly collectible and historically significant SVR award, ideal for advanced collectors of intelligence history, Cold War organizations, and post-Soviet state decorations.
