Original Item – Only One Available. A very rare departmental anniversary badge associated with the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and its РП (Radio Interception) field. Radio interception represents the technical collection of intelligence from radio and related communications transmissions, making this badge particularly significant to collectors of Russian technical and signals-intelligence material.

The badge is an impressive multi-piece construction centered on the official heraldic emblem of the SVR of the Russian Federation: the gilt double-headed eagle carrying the crossed sword and flaming torch, with the blue globe and radiant star emblem at its center. This official SVR heraldic device was established by Presidential Decree No. 1233 of 31 October 2009. Behind the eagle is the official SVR flag, elaborate red, white and blue enameled radiating field surrounded by a large silver-colored laurel wreath, while the lower section bears the prominent “RP” designation and “40” anniversary numeral.
